How to Use This DnD Stat Roller
This free DnD stat roller generates all six D&D 5e ability scores — Strength, Dexterity, Constitution, Intelligence, Wisdom, and Charisma. Choose your method, hit Roll Stats, watch the cinematic dice roll, then assign scores by clicking or dragging. Class recommendations appear automatically.
4d6 Drop Lowest
Roll four d6 per stat and drop the lowest. The standard D&D 5e method, producing heroic characters averaging ~12.2 per score.
3d6 Straight
Old-school AD&D style. Three dice, no drops. Great for grounded characters with real strengths and weaknesses.
Heroic (2d6+6)
Guarantees every stat is at least 8, averaging around 13. Perfect for cinematic, high-fantasy campaigns.
2d6 Method
Roll just two dice per stat. Ideal for NPCs, minions, or low-power campaigns. Note: scores can be very low.
